Anvi Smart Defender is a simple-to-use antivirus application that uses a regular engine and cloud support to remove malware files and ensure data protection. It also features a real-time guard designed to prevent future infections.
The installation procedure is a fast and easy task, since the app does not let users opt out of components. As for the interface, Anvi Smart Defender is attractive and intuitive, thanks to large and flat buttons. An initial scan is recommended by the tool to establish the PC's current security status.
Anvi Smart Defender sports familiar scan methods that can perform a quick search by looking into important Windows areas only (system services, memory, browser extensions, startup items, other critical locations), run a complete search by adding the full disk to the previously mentioned areas, or verify only user-defined locations via custom scans.
On scan completion it can be set to automatically remove infected or suspicious files, remove them and immediately power off the PC afterward, or to stand by for user action (delete, trust, do nothing).
The real-time guard takes care of files, the Windows registry, startup items, along with browsers, Internet-related privacy issues and downloads. Each of these components can be deactivated with one click and re-enabled at a later time.
Meanwhile, the anti-hacker module monitors various vulnerable areas prone to unauthorized access, such as weak passwords, remote connection and assistance, together with the Windows Firewall. These sections may be excluded from the current and future scans.
Items sent to the quarantine can be examined when it comes to file locations and times of submission before deciding to either remove or restore them. Objects excluded from scans may be removed from the whitelist, while new ones can be added.
In addition, users may download another tool (for free) designed to repair various browser issues triggered by malware when it comes to Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.
We have noticed that Anvi runs on a pretty high amount of RAM, even when it's in idle state. It carries out scan jobs in reasonable time but takes a while to delete infected files. Our latest tests has shown that the tool delivers very good results concerning virus detection ratio. However, its real-time guard failed to detect anything, and the scans found many false positives. On top of that, its interface shows misleading options, since most of them can be unlocked only by upgrading to Anvi Smart Defender Pro.
To sum it up, Anvi Smart Defender is attractive, simple-to-use and capable of removing many types of malware, but we have seen better performance results in other av solutions when it comes to the overall package, even for a free security program.
Anvi Smart Defender ReviewRead more
well I'm pretty how you doing this is matter doctor here with another review today I'm going to take a look at every smart defender version 1.8 pro or they're paid version user interface looks decent in the main page says pc is safe rare version 1.8 user interface looks decent on the front page this is pc is safe zero threats removed you could do an option of a quick scan you do a client's can there's the file guard option down here also there is a process guard and for the professional Edition that makes it different than the free version the main difference is it offers real-time protection and it also includes a registry fix so web guard and an ad blocker understand and it says quick santi and complete no threats were detected I ran in a quick scan before I began the review under cloud security you can directly drop a file to the window for analyzing so it will do a quick scan through the clack under the guard this is basic guards free so this is what you get with the free version under privacy guard is real-time protection for personal information against cybercrime startup guard powerfully protects against malicious programs from writing to the registry final guard strongly protects and blocks malicious files from executing and process guard effectively the texts and disables malicious processes from running and for the paid version there you get the web guard which is real-time protection protects and prevents you from landing on malicious websites behavior guard which watches and prevent suspicious activity on your computer USB card which checks and offers protection when external devices attached to PC and add word guard which blocks malicious adword or pop-ups from displaying on sites you visit there's also a pc tuneup for a system optimizer which will clean up temporary files and junk files a registry fixer with the paid version which will move unused in old registry entries there's also a privacy cleaner a memory sweep and a disk defrag ER and under tool box there's a cloud system booster which will speed up the pc supposedly by cleaning up junk files and registry files yet they also have their ad blocker which blocks malicious ads pop-ups and protects your pc from harmful sites and there's a Windows Update downloader which will install the latest hot fixes and security patches from Microsoft supposedly and they also have a browser repair tool which will help repair browser settings after malware and let's check on memory usage all right look at their ad blocker service the memory usage is very high I have noticed the system slow down after installing it right now we're at about 106 megabytes definitely not like by any stretch of the imagination before I begin the review I'm going to check for updates one more time and nollie that all right we already have the latest version installed their cloud database has approximately 1 million 960 6565 definitions for threats I'm not sure I'm assuming that's including different variants and they have and they have over two million files in their white list all right let's begin as usual I have 12 brand-new malicious URL so maybe putting up against ambe's today and let's begin I'll run the file guard caught that 3 i'll press delete you you alright the web guard caught that you're trying to open a malicious site which might contain some unsafe or malicious codes it's kind of weird instead of the default option being denied which was a counting down clock now it says allow so in automatically in 10 seconds is going to allow it so I'm going to just click allowed because that is the option that it is selected as default so it has been allowed to run and execute successfully not all I will you all right the final go pick the veteran trojan that grad and the automatic option is to delete solidly you all right I believe I already ran that one once let's just join the next one alright process I explored a THC host www website / force com you're trying to open a malicious site which might contain someone say from malicious codes I don't know why it's letting me allow boy that is the default option i will allow you there's this one is just working properly one more here alright so now I'm going to run a scan with Anvi Smart Defender along with our bites and I'll be back alright the scans finish the quick scan completed in about 10 minutes so do not find anything it's going to bed eighty-five thousand files mara bites do not find anything on the desktop I have a pack of a couple week old samples approximately 398 files I'm going to scan these with anvi smart defender and I'll be back all right it finished scanning is detected 206 threats supposedly the only option I have is to repair I'm not sure that'll just cleaning effective files or do hopefully it'll delete them as well I'm hoping it will delete the files to the text and it will know that is true if there's a 192 files left over so let's hope that is the case i'm going to press repair and once it's done i'll be back all right it finished there's approximately one hundred and ninety two files left over which is good so deleted all the files it found if we do the math we start with 398 minus 1 92 / 398 detection rate of about fifty two percent considering these samples are more than a couple weeks old that is rather low let's hope it does better detecting a threat to mist let me rename all the shields all right we're good to go they open a kill switch you alright let's begin alright the first one load into memory no prom Komodo classifies it as unclassified an hour alright startup guard it will automatically allow in 25 seconds so I'll just click allow again an option to allow so it looks like it will allow registry modifications looks like i will allow again now they're allow allow you let's run a few more of these you all right I think now I'm going to run and be smart defender I'm going to run a quick scan with that and with our blades and I'll be back all right Anvi Smart Defender finished detected 16 threats let's view details detected a trojan agent and 10 files i already use CC cleaners so i guess these files were left behind there's a piece of generic malware detected in appdata there's something in program data right here there's a backdoor agents is 132 trojan.agent and run let's see what Mara by detected take the 55 threats superfan all right it found a trojan agent Don you KN and program data found a back door agents and temp but there is one that's not a temp file right here in current version run micro update but that is a registry values so I'm not too concerned about it there's a charge into agent al that is a file that is in temp so I'm not to concern you have potentially unwanted program Bitcoin miner you have a Trojan injector and appdata roaming another Trojan right here they also appear to have a rogue I'm not seeing any signs but is in roaming so definitely a lot of infections have made it past and V smart defender I'm honestly kind of surprised how well it did during my link portion of my tests I'm going to be re-evaluating the sources i use for my links to see if i can get better link lauded because i do not believe envy did as well as it appeared during that portion of the test because you can see how poorly you did during an hour execution part so final thoughts i would definitely stay away from Anvi Smart Defender I don't believe 2498 is worth the money I think you could spend it in a lot better places and I just really don't see the point using this for anything so that is the end of my review take from as you wish and I'll talk to you later bye
