cdrtfe is an open source application created as a win32 frontend or the well known cdrtools. It’s assembled to help you burn CD, DVD and BD discs with all sorts of data types for all kinds of purposes.
Detailing functionality, cdrtfe is able to create audio CDs from popular formats such as Wave and MP3 and rip tracks from CDs. You can also burn video DVDs that contain VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders, as well as bootable discs and ISO files.
cdrtfe also provides you with the tools needed to erase rewritable discs and displays detailed information about the drives connected to your computer and inserted discs.
Using cdrtfe is quite easy. It features an integrated, classic file explorer which allows you to browse the contents of your hard drive and use drag-and-drop actions to add files to the project.
As mentioned before cdrtfe is a frontend for cdrtools. Having that in mind and looking at the interface layout, it’s easy to spot that the application is focused on functionality rather than looks.
For the novice user, everything you need is in plain site, easily accessible. The application enables you to automatically detect the discs’ writing speed, displays a spacemeter and allows you to abort a burn in case you forget to add something.
The ‘Data Disc’, ‘Audio CD’, ‘XCD’, ‘(S) VideoCD’ and ‘Video DVD’ categories all feature quick access for certain options, as well as dedicated windows for advanced settings. These add to functionality and give cdrtfe more versatility and quite the professional feel.
cdrtfe allows you to save your projects and application configurations for later use. You can also use shell extensions to send items and folders directly to the application using the context menu.
Needless to say, being an open source application, you can customize cdrtfe to meet and exceed any requirements you have when burning data to CD and DVD discs.

welcome to CDR TV tutorial my name is Lars and today I'm going to give you a compact introduction into CDR Gav end well some of its quirks CDR TV is a is a short form for CDR to its front end so it's just the interface of a already existing console program and city RTA V is a cd/dvd burning or recording application the functionality is similar to what the old infra recorder offered but since infra recorder has been abandoned for why now it doesn't work properly on Windows 10 64 bit I think this is the better solution so let's get started with C D RT AV first thing is you want to download it just enter the title as I do here into Google presenter and well just go to the download page one last thing of this program is you can either use the setup or you can use it as a portable version this means you don't have to install anything at all that is this is my preferred way of doing it so I just go for the portable version it goes to source fortunate and the download will start shortly yeah here we go it's already there so um let me open up my downloads and here it is so to make use of the program just double-click we'll start an extraction well I say please do this and here we go this is the actual program you can freely move this program wherever you like into your Google Drive or your Dropbox or onedrive or even your USB stick if you still have one of those so what I will do next is I will open this up close down the browser on the background less confusing and you can start the application by just using this CDR TV application I'll just double click it and it opens up the interface let me just adjust the interface so that it fits the screen so this is the interface you will be working with and some what you see here is a lot of tabs and my introduction will only cover the database tab the audio CD tab and the disk image tab and some little things around you but but nothing more because most of this stuff will you don't use it anymore today so the first thing we are going to look at is data disk and well it does as it says it burns data to a deist a CD or a DVD just let me show I'm putting a DVD into my DVD drive just a sec yeah here we go just remove the old one put in the new one and yeah it's already booted but you cannot see this it's yeah you hear the sounds windows telling me and it's ready to go so one thing you you're immediately notice is that this here stays on CD even though I put a DVD into my drive so what you have to do get the correct signs here is click right click on city just right click and will open up a menu that you don't see so again and you have the choice of different media types and I go for DVD so in this case correctly shows me how much space is left on my DVD which is almost four and a half gigabytes and you can add elements to your DVD to burn by different means you can just right click into here right click and you say add five add folder it will bring up this dialog and where you can choose what you want to put onto it you can use this nice button here add files or this add folder or you can just drag and drop from your normal normal Explorer um just what is your your preferred way just do it so I say add file and just add all this and 25 fun yeah why not so and the next thing you have to do is right here hit the start button it will do its magic in the background as you can see here it's checking to this it's calculating in size and it's as well let's how much I want to burn onto the DVD that is how much will will still be left well it's a DVD R so nothing will be left so okay and the actual CD burning or DVD burning starts here so as you can probably hear in the background some the draw the driver is quite busy doing whatever it does now that the DVD has been burnt it says execution completed and I have the DVD now in my drive with all this data on it what you girls do is good old school audio CD so what this does is if you drag and drop your mp3s into them it will convert them to WAV files and make an actually actual audio CD from it I just remove the drivers you probably heard the background so how does this work say same as data city you can either press this ad track over here add track that's what I do and just take the first CD that I ripped a while ago it's yeah open it put it onto the audio CD as you can see here it properly shows that these lamb tracks will amount to about 70 minutes of music one thing that you should know is that if you go into data discs or audio discs you have the button options here and options does give you the way to burn from an ISO but what's more important you can actually choose to over burn so if you want to over burn your your CDs or DVDs here's the way to turn it on or off if you don't know what overburn is then don't try it just just google it make sure you completely understand it but for those of you that use the infra recorder for the longest time over burning is a nice-to-have feature so the final thing i just want to show you is the so called disk image this is some the tab that offers you two to either create an image or to write an image to disk to create an image you just insert a gödel dvd-r see what I will do I can hear the background just put it in okay I'll take just a sec and you select create an image and you say yeah there was Windows prompting me that the order city has been inserted create an image then you say where you want to create the ISO file that is hope yeah that is some that is created when you when you rip the CD or dvd and I just want to put it on my downloads and just copy it well yeah the shame it's a 90s CD go into clone mode this is quite important and it does a complete clone of the of the CD or dvd you just have in your drive just push start and yeah you hear the thing in the background it's quite noisy it's a very old city it's from wedding I think 1994 1995 so as you can see here the the reading is done in the background so now that the the image has been created the just States execution completed and you can hear my drive in the background I just remove the disk because it's quite loud yep so guess what prompted a small arrow so you can see the the ISO is already here it's the size of five that is just being created and if you want to burn either to DVD or CD you can either use the right image functionality and disc image or you can go to data disc in the options here and say use an image instead of choosing the tracks here if you choose use an image it will ignore anything that you have put into this here so a files you've dropped here will be ignored you will just use this image so this was a short introduction into CD r t AV I hope you enjoyed it see you next time
