A default keyboard is configured to hold most default functions you need for regular computer use. One button in particular can capture everything on screen and send the picture to clipboard. There are also third-party alternatives like SimpleSnap which aim to enhance the functionality of the default print screen function.

Since it saves you the effort of pressing a few “next” buttons to get it installed on your PC, it can be launched right after download, and even stored on a thumb drive in case you want to carry it with you at all times. Just make sure that .NET Framework is installed on the computer you decide to use it on.
The application goes to the tray area directly on launch, with a small notification tooltip which informs you it’s there. Interacting with the icon is how to take a screenshot, with a few options on how you want the picture to be delivered to you.
By default, the application brings up a save dialog so you can choose where the new picture to be created. The only output file format is JPG sadly, and there’s no method of changing this. Once saved, a small window temporarily shows up to display a preview, slowly fading away and closes once it’s no longer visible.
The second method doesn’t really come as an enhancement. This is because the picture is automatically sent to clipboard on capture, similar to the Print Screen button on your keyboard. Unfortunately, the application can only capture the entire screen, with no possibility to target a custom region, or specific window elements.
All things considered, we can state that SimpleSnap doesn’t greatly enhance the capabilities of taking a screenshot, but rather comes as a visual representation of the Print Screen button’s default function. Although fitted with a shallow set of features, it can save some time when capturing multiple pictures of your screen.
